For larger and more complex contracts APD offer a formal contract management service based on the "PRINCE" protocol (PRojects IN Controlled Environments). This was established by the Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency in 1989 and is a structured method for effective project management.
It is a de facto standard used extensively by the UK Government and in the private sector. The key features are a focus on business justification, a defined structure for the project management team, product-based planning, an emphasis on creating manageable project stages and a flexibility appropriate to the nature of the project.
If you wish us to project manage your work we will, within an agreed time, draw up an outline working plan identifying the operations, materials, components, timings and payments needed to complete the work. The estimated total cost, expected completion date and details of any important events along the way will be confirmed in writing. Regular project meetings will be held to discuss progress and ensure work is to going to plan. Any issues that are identified will be dealt with here and a solution agreed.
You will be provided with a project plan in the form of a gantt chart which will show date and task information and any task dependancies as well as showing progress against the time line.
